Angel Fire Rock House is located in the Angel Fire Resort, just 45 minutes east of Taos and three  hours north of Albuquerque. At the cool elevation of 9,835 feet, the views of the Moreno Valley are spectacular and the quiet of the forest is only broken by the wildlife. Listen to the elk bugle, watch deer and turkey walk through the property, fish in nearby El Monte or Eagle Nest lakes or the quality waters of Cimarron Valley.
 

Just minutes away, is the Angel Fire ski area  that offers downhill skiing and snowboarding in the Winter and world class mountain biking in the summer. Miles of hiking trails, cross country skiing and backcountry wilderness await you. As you can see, there is plenty to do, but even better, you can enjoy the quiet of the mountains and the serenity of a quiet space. As the Italians say, “Dolce far niente”.

The house was designed by the award-winning architect Mark Rohde and captures the essence of a mountain home with a fresh and modern design. The house has 2,400 sq ft of living space, 3 bedrooms each with a queen bed; 3 ½ baths, rec/bunk room with two sets of bunk beds, two twin beds, and a sleeper sofa; 2 lofts, one for kids only off a bedroom, the other above the living room.

Decks surround the view sides of the house and an upper deck off the upstairs loft offers the most incredible morning coffee or afternoon wine views in all of Angel Fire. The “wreck” room has plenty of entertainment for the kids and includes a mudroom right inside the covered wood storage entry. The house sleeps 12 in REAL beds and can accommodate as many as 16 people comfortably. Radiant in floor heat and a monitored alarm system will keep you safe and warm. There is a two-car garage to get your vehicle out of the weather along with a parking area at the street if the snow is too deep!
